KJVeasy Study Bible Completed: Luke & Acts Making Now: Genesis & Hebrews
We are working on two complementary projects to make the Bible accessible to the Deaf and weak-English community.
Old Testament
New Testament
ISL-KJV Bible
(Indian Sign Language)
In February 2018, ISL-KJV Bible completed the translation of the entire New Testament into Indian Sign Language (ISL), making it the first full New Testament translation for the ISL community. We have since completed half the Old Testament. This translation is based on the King James Version (KJV) and is signed word for word. The Textus Receptus (New Testament) and Masoretic Text (Old Testament) are the foundation, with the original languages carefully consulted so that the most accurate meaning is conveyed in ISL. This work opened the door for Deaf believers in India to access God’s Word directly in their own natural language — the language of the hands and eyes.
KJVeasy Study Bible (Simplified English)
Alongside this work, we have also developed a second resource: the KJVeasy Study Bible. This is a faithful KJV-based study Bible in simplified English, created especially to help: Deaf readers, for whom written English is a second language. Weak-English readers across South Asia and beyond. Features include: Color-coded words and phrases for visual clarity. Simple definitions placed above difficult words. Integrated video links to ISL translations for deeper understanding. Unlike many “easy-English” Bibles that paraphrase heavily, KJVeasy preserves the exact wording of the KJV while making it clear and accessible.
Together, these projects provide two pathways:
one in Sign, one in simplified English — both with the same goal:
making God’s Word accessible to the Deaf and weak-English community.
Please join us in prayer as we continue this work.

Authoritative & Accessible:
Opening the Scriptures for the People
Luther’s Bible (1500s) – Put Scripture into the common German tongue. – Made the Bible the people’s book, sparking the Reformation. The King James Bible (1611) – Built on the same foundation of the Hebrew Masoretic Text and Greek Textus Receptus. – Became the most widely used English Bible in history. – For centuries it has been the authoritative & accessible Bible for the English-speaking world, carried across the globe. Moravians (1700s) – Carried Luther’s Bible accross the globe. – Sent ordinary believers worldwide, showing the Bible belongs to all nations. Carey & Judson (1800s) – Carey in India: translated the Bible into dozens of Indian languages. – Judson in Burma: gave a Burmese Bible still used today. – Their work launched a movement through Bible translation which will never end. KJVeasy Study Bible (21st century) – Built on the King James Bible (making no changes to it), and adding study-tools for Deaf and weak-English readers. – Features color coding, simple definitions, and links to sign-language videos. – Opens the same faithful text to those who have struggled to understand it. Summary: The KJVeasy Study Bible is the next link in the great chain of upholding the absolute authority of the Bible while making it accessible to the people. Just as Luther broke the barrier of Latin, the King James Bible became the great authoritative and accessible Bible in English, and Carey and Judson broke the barrier of local languages, KJVeasy Study Bible now breaks the barrier of inaccessible English. It maintains the authority of the Bible while making it accessible to the Deaf and weak-English readers of South Asia and beyond.
